Re-engineer of Aero Package for a Prototype Hill-climb Special Project

DTUK were approached to help re-engineer the aero package for a prototype hill-climb special project for a major UK based OEM.

This involved the team re-engineering production mounting strategies to mount the prototype aero package of front bumper and splitter, sills, rear bumper, rear deck and boot spoiler.

Special consideration had to be given to the robustness of the components, as this was not the usual low speed prototype designed for photo-shoots and show stands, but a full-blooded racer designed to be thrashed along the legendary Goodwood hill-climb course at over 100 MPH.

The project was a huge success, and has lead to the prototype being developed into a limited edition production of 250 vehicles.

DTUK are proud to have played a small part in the story of one of the rarest and most sought-after cars ever produced.
